Hey Obbzy, I didn't make the first round so I have a couple of questions about the mod.
1. What's the diffrenece between the LM tyres and the other sets not labelled LM?
2. In upgrades there are options for different length endurance races, should I be using one of those? The default is for sprint races.

Hey Dano,
Good questions.
1. LM stands for Le mans. We think, though not entirely sure, that they are slightly harder wearing variants
of the standard tyres, so LM Mediums should last a little longer than standard mediums, though they may
be a tenth or two slower.
2. In this mod, the cars are subject to engine & brake wear. It's important not to over rev the engine
as it will eventually stop, likewise brake wear is critical too. The race is time scaled for the two hours
not the 20 we're simulating. I'd up the brakes to their maximum, and use a longer distance upgrade option
(say 2-4 hour race). Make sure you set the car up so you don't redline the engine too often.
Hope that helps.

Re: Rd 2. 2012 ICONS Series @ Bathurst
THe damage only 50 percent but it only fixes body work which means if the car is stuffed no point limping to the pits.
I personally found the gt2 cars easy to drive and will probably head that way
Night driving at bathurst was fantastic and will look into an event for us to conduct at night soon

Re: Rd 2. 2012 ICONS Series @ Bathurst
Bad luck again Kiwi.
Yeah damage is at 50%, but it doesn't seem
to help in the pits, nothing much gets fixed
no matter how long ya in there for.
I only had light suspension damage at the pit stop,
came out and it felt worse!!
I suppose the trick is to avoid getting damage in the first
place, easier said than done though.
Hopefully your bad luck is over and you'll have a
good race on Friday.

Re: Rd 2. 2012 ICONS Series @ Bathurst
Well before my arms drop off I'll write up a report of this fantastic race. Obbzy and xfactor, excellent work in putting on a great event. The night to day transitions were actually bloody awesome considering how old this game is. Felt very realistic and needed to keep the lights on for ages just to not lose rhythm.
Downloaded the ILMS and jumped in with a couple minutes of praccy left (that's the only reason I beat GroupCAction..), and wow the default setup was absolute shite! Threw bars, dampers, springs, pressures, weight, and ratios all over the place like rugby league passing practice, and managed a semi decent setup, that was still over a second down on the 1:55.5 of Nooby in qualy. That man was flying and so were Yaystenny and Marlon.
Race, got a great start but had to brake straight away to avoid ramming Yaysteamy in front of me who had a shocker. But profited from Yaysteamy and Nooby taking each other out at T2 to jump back to 3rd up the clackers of GroupCAction and Marlon.
Pulled off my pass of the race at Skyline by outbraking GCA and slipping past him on the inside. Then next lap, Marlon was doing a great defensive job in the lead when he decided to change his shirt ( ). His car was having a bad day and wanted to let off some pressure. About 180 kPa of front left did the trick after hitting the wall at the Chase.
That left me in the lead with no idea how long the car would last, how much fuel and brakes and tyres needed to be saved, and very competitive GCA and Nibiru (that man is a race pace freak) behind. That meant that I went super easy on all of those. Because of the misfortune of Nib losing brakes, and GCA having no choice but to repair damage at each pitstop (over a minute penalty), I got the win.
GCA in particular was catching up at the end at the rate of about 1 second per lap and set the race fastest lap on the final tour, Brock style.
Benny, Kiwi, sonofa, and Dano (bad luck mate) repped TTR well. Great car selection Kiwi, I have a setup for you next round!
Go TTR!

Re: Rd 2. 2012 ICONS Series @ Bathurst
WOW... Last night was such a top night.... There is life after TCL haha
Hadn't turned a lap in these cars but the chance to race a GT car, around Bathurst in the dark was too good to pass up.
Quali: Alittle hard to setup a car up in Quali as it was my only laps, i think i managed 7th which i was pretty happy with.
Race: Got a great start n was up to 4th or 5th by turn 1, got a great tow up Mountain straight... Into turn 2 a few got together i managed to squeeze past n was in the top 3. From there i set about learning the car as i was racing... Man these things have sooo much downforce and grip over the top of the mountain. I had a great little battle with Marlon or 1 of the RSM boys i think it was? (Black DBR9) for about 5laps.
I started to feel alot more confortable in the car as night fell but i noticed i hadnt set up my controls up so any damage i had i couldnt fix.... so i lost around a mintute total fixing my car twice. I really enjoyed driving at night and i'd love TTR to maybe take on some 2hr Enduros in the future in the night.
I ended up 2nd in the race setting the fastest lap on the last lap chasing down Webber who i may have thought might have been on vapor but he must have had enough fuel to get home. All in all a great showing from TTR... Benny, Dano & Kwik Kiwi all did a great job for the team!!
Bring on the next round!!
