Is there anything special i have to do to sign up for the race considering its a hot swap or just register in SLS and turn up?

Hot swap is optional. You can do the whole race yourself if you'd like. There will be a few that do.

Make sure you've got the BMW M3 Evo addon + skins, and all the other stuff we've got added onto it now.

Yeah but floydie wants to race with me and i think i'd die doing 3 hours by myself. Thanks i'll have to get that update. I only have the base mod and a few skin packs.

From my quick run offline the other night I'd say the 2010 track will give quicker lap times, much quicker.

Server Back up for TCL

Hey Benny & co. I wouldn't mind having a run in this if thats ok. I have raced with Benny at XGN before but never at TTR. I am having trouble finding my way around, and i have not raced TCL for a few years. What exactly do i need to download for this (from scratch) and how do a choose a car thats not taken. Sorry for all the noob questions

anyone having fame rate issues in bathurst 2010 ?
seems to start ok then all goes to sh#t
Have turned down the graphics and still no go.
Also does it in the V8supercars.

same corty works good for first 10 minutes then drops badly no matter wat settings i run... cant do 3 hr stint with this i dont think....

If anyone has time to bring it up with ORSM at race department or see if anyone else has would be handy if not I will later in the week. If we can't resolve the problem by early next week we will have to switch back to the 2006 version

Can I get both of you before we post at orsm to test offline as the both servers that are up are Kiwi and my Home servers where the connection isn't as good so problem might not be there on the main server. Testing offline should give us a better idea which way we need to go

kewl benny i noticed it was worse when more than 2 cars entered so it may be the server....but was fine with myself or 1 other driver on... i try 2nite...

I ended up running the "shader Level:" in performance (DX7) mode, in the rF Config file and it didnt jump at all. Also had the graphics down as well.
Besides this drama I like this version of the track and will be great if we can run on it.

i just tested off line graphics maxed and no stutter.. let it run for 20 minutes with 15 cars on ... so maybe was lag causing my issue

Yeah sounds like the it could be the server side of it then.
On race nights I notice quite offen it gets a little jumpy when everyone is in the server.

I didn't notice the problem myself testing offline.

The 2010 version is pretty good isn't it They have made it more accurate... and in many ways it drives like a different circuit, i've had to relearn some of my lines compared to the 2006 version

Going to try have another play around with graphics tonight and see what the maximum I can run before it starts jumping around.
Will we be racing on the same server or does it get changed the night of the race ?

As it is a few weeks off it is on the home Server the week before will switch to the race server

one trick people can try if they ever have FPS issues with rfactor is.. load rfactor
than bring up windows task manager Click the Processes tab.. find rfactor.. rite click and click Set affinity and than click all cores
alot of the time its not acutally your video card thats failing.. its lack of cpu power and rfactor by default runs 1 core.. but by changing the affinity setting it than runs over all your cores and 9 times out of 10 will fix fps issues

Great tip Kakswell is that the case with Rfactor 2 aswell

man top tip kaks nice... myn was on 1 but now using all of em... will try it 2nite....

rfactor 2 is all ready set to all cores so is alot of newer games....

only problem is.. once you close rfactor.. the nxt time you reload rfactor you have to do reset affinity up

press CTRL - F to bring up the FPS in the top corner to see what fps your doing than set affinity adn than recheck fps!

myn sits on between 460 and 640 in top right corner with everything maxed out.and 20 cars runing.. and all cores on.. which is 7....

i dunno really wat that means lol

considering I race with about 50 yours is pretty good

just did bathurst '86 offline with 55 cars, frame rate fluctuated between 30 & 70.

i have my frame rate capped @ 60 as my monitor is only 60hz

hey kaks what do ya do if it says access denied when you try and set affinity? wouldnt mind using all 6 cores

maybe try Rite click on your rfactor link.. then Run as adminisistrator??

i mainly use this trick when im in a track with alot of cars.. like my gamin pc is an i7 with the bells but my racing pc is just an dual core e6600 which tends to suffer badly at times with lots of cars.. a good example of when its at its worst is either clipsal with a full grid and barbs when your coming along the start line.. both tracks kill the old girl but setting affinity fixes it and will happly do 60fps flat no dramer

another lil thing you can play with is Get a program that shows your how much Gpu load your getting and than open task manager and have the Cpu load graph up.. run rfactor on a track with cars that slows your pc... then alt tab to check how badly the cpu is loaded and how gpu is usualy only around 50percent load.. then change afiniity and recheck

so hopefully that helps some of ya's

what about changing priority level it lets me do it but brings up a warning about possible chances of system instability

Doh if i click ok it just brings up the access is denied thing........

i think Priority Might fix issues with random game jumps or split second lock ups but i dont think it will do much real difference

the issue i get atm is drop in frame rate for about a minute every 3-4 laps on all my installs
