Round 4: Cadwell Park (June 23)

This thing is like a tarmac rally stage! I think the nimble M3's will do well here. I managed a 1.26 after three laps...having never raced on this track ever.

great track this one, no-one can cut here and if yea do yea car end's up in little bits all over the place, this track is dangerous!! 

1.24.3 is my best time so far

I'm still in the 26's in some offline practice, not sure where I will be able to find much more time!  Love the Turn 1-2 sequence, awesome little track!!!

when i first drove this track on sunday night i was like, ohh what the hell this is stupid. 

now i love it. super fun track to race on, pushing hard here will get you faster times, but will absolutely kill your tyres. 

While there are no chicanes to cut, we are all going to have to be very mature and be sensible come race day. Its a tight dangerous circuit with little room for error. So be careful. 

Also, ive noticed one or two spots where your car can get stuck quite close to the track. So stay off the grass at all costs. Well most costs. 

Heading through the downhill "s" bend, on the right just before the braking zone for the sharp left there's an invisible glitch thingy just off the track that basically traps your car. and you cant get out. You shouldnt be out there anyway but if you do spin it coming down the hill its quite easy to hit it. 

Love this track though whew!!

This track is making me dizzy.

Is it just me or is it a really slippery track? Soon as you kick the rear the tiniest bit, you're gone. GRRR.

That was good fun, some close racing with Sulley & CM Punk. 

Two apologies, one for blowing up after getting taken out from behind at the second restart and another for coming in too hot at the fourth corner on the third restart, the field was compressed in front of me and I locked everything up and slammed into the side of DV8 and Mike80.

That went downhill fast, managed to qualify 3rd which I was very happy with.

Race 1 started well enough, I was in 4th until I got a tyre on the grass and dropped to 6th. Following that I got turned around by Shayn and dropped a few more spots. A little later on a lapped car caused me to crash into him and ended up in 10th.

Race 2 lasted all of a few corners when David sent me over the fence so I just gave up. It did bring the crowd a little closer to the action.

Nope DV_8, you hit V8 NOT me, and you was in 9th after losing a spot a lap to chasing cars..nothing to do with me at all..

I did my best to stay outta the way, and when the freight train came along I parked it until they went past, I wanted to finish the race:)

I know it wasn't your fault at all, the screenshot was the best I could find of me going over the fence in race 2. Sorry if I caused confusion, I know you always drive fairly.

I qualified in about 9th place. Which sucks ass, but eh lots of fast people around tonight. Probably shouldnt have qualied on Vhards. Haha. 


Race 1 started to go really well got up to around 7th? i think when i came across FCDean on the pit straight. I got a better exit than him and closed down the straight, went left of him into turn one and almost got by. I hit a bump in the road and because i was pretty close arleady, leant over and shunted him off the track. I didnt really want to stop as he wasnt coming back into the track so i kept on. About a lap and a half later i slowed down for him to take back his spot. Ehh, do the right thing. Fought with dean for the race and finished in 12th i think. 

DV8 said i spun him, i have no recollection of this. really sorry man, had i noticed, i woulda stopped.  


Race 2 was muchhh better. 

Started 9th again. Got a good start and managed to get up to 3rd place behind ummm, some people. Maybe Growler? i dont recall lol. 

Corty passed me early and basically took off into the distance, building an 8 second gap. I was second for ages, with AusChris GCA and um some other people taking turns to chase me. Midway through i had one spin, that i was waiting for and managed to put myself back in 5th spot. Damn that downhill s bend thing. GRRR. 

GCA was on my ass for ages and i managed to keep a 2.5 second gap to him for a long time before the spin which i was very happy about. Cause basically hes fkn fast. After he spun it on the final turn i was left chasing Racer and AusChris.

I stayed with them which i was very happy with again. If i can keep pace with fkn fast racers, its a great race, no matter where i finish. Couldnt pull them in for a podium but im happy with a determined 4th place. All on VHards too. yeahhhh.

Ps. Great racing by most people. Its a tight track and i saw a lot of room being given to people and to me. You can still go fast and show some respect too. Great.

2nd race being heavy on fuel and on mediums after first race was easy on mediums with little use on the wear incicator. felt the alfa was better on the longer stint at cadwell but also taking it easy through the tighter section not wanting to spin. had a few hairy moments but turn 1 left hander trying to stick with racer around the outside so i could have the inside into the second corner i was surprised nothin happened there

deano and i have the alfa grenade motor with a shit load of boost to get us 20 secs ahead of the opposition for mallory

That was an epic qualifying session last night!  Very close again!

I tried to keep out of too much trouble in the races, had some excellent and very fair racing with FCDean, shayn, Killer and quite a few others, lots of room given and heaps of respect shown all round.

Bring on Mallory!

I fell really bad about this.  We had a restart becasue i was punted off, but we didn't have a restart after i accidentally punted someone else off...

yeah ah just on that, how are you 13 seconds faster than an M3 can possibly go?

so when an m3 is at the hairpin, you're crossing the line?

That was some great racing there Chris, hope i gave you enough room on the exit of the corner, my car got abit light through there but it was great racing. Also had some brilliant dices with billy bob in race 1, and Chris, Growler, Shayn etc.. in race 2, great driving all.
