GT3 Round 4 - Monza Classic - Round 3 (13th April)

"Monza - The old and the new..."

This round encompasses most of the modern circuit with some of the old banking.
Note the circuit layout


You turn in just before the second bridge. If you go past this you may get a DQ


Qualifying
Qual starts at 7.30pm TTR time. This will be a 10 minute session.
You can do as many laps as you want.

Race 1
Race 1 is a 15 minute sprint race
Fuel is set to 2x and tyres at 3x
Damage is set to 50%

Race 2
Race 2 is a 30 minute race.
There is no compulsory pit stop this round. Pit stops are free.
The grid will be taken from the finish positions from race 1

Cheers to Aus-Chris for the front ride height tip on TS before the second race. I haven't had much of a chance to do much practice in the Lambo. I now know how ride height/aero sensitive this rig is because jacking the front up a tad totally transformed the thing from an oversteering pendulum into something halfway driveable.

I had a pretty good night last night, happy with a 9th and a 5th in the two races. Had some good battles with Fez, CM Punk (who did a bloody great job last night) and IN2Maddog. Lost the splitter early when I got pushed into a wall, but generally I thought I had reasonable pace, was just not consistent enough. Kudos to IcemanForbes who is smashing the opposition and making us all look pretty slow of late!

sooooooooooooo pissed! throwing a good 2nd spot away by tinkering with pit window after the 2 lesmos and driving up the straight and not turning left.................. was going well conserving some fuel in the ferrari and not needing tyres too. oh well, next one. think the aston martin team is running underweight too, unsure if any other teams think the same!

Haha turn it up. You fellas just need to hit the bike more often, get the driver weight down to 65kg!

Well last was great lots of fun. 1st race I went off on the first corner but, I managed to keep it on the black stuff and finished 14th.

And the last race was the best started 14th on the 2nd lap first corner CM PUNK is off the track as I am coming around the corner CM PUNK comes across onto the racing line, I had to brake and swerve and I hit Fez and put both of us into the sand trap. not happy with punk at all. But on that note I am got a 3rd with 0.2 of fuel left.

I have reviewed the replay and Punk, that was a dangerous move you did coming back onto the track. You cut right across V8VP who was on the racing line, and going much faster than you. V8VP had to swerve around you and as a result took another driver out.
There will be 20 points deducted from your points score, and you will start the next race at the back of the grid (Round 1 only).
