Car Selection Thread Empty Car Selection Thread

Post by Guest 8/6/2012, 8:14 pm

G'day fellas.

So after a fair bit of deliberation through PM and testing, we've come up with the following list of cars. We've tried to make things as even as possible, but allowing for differences in cars... V8, 4 banger etc etc..

So we've got:

Class 1

1973 3.2 CSL Alpina
1974 3.2 CSL Alpina
1974 3.5 CSL Schnitzer
1975 3.5 CSL Schnitzer
1976 Pantera Factory
1976 Pantera Private
1971 Capri 2600RS
1974 Capri 3100RS
1972 Capri MkI RS2600
1972 Escort RS MkI
1973 911 RS 2.8
1975 911 RSR 3.0
1972 911 ST 2.5
1969 427 Corvette Stingray

Class 2

1965 1600 GTA '65
1966 1600 GTA '66
1965 Mini Cooper S 1275
1966 Mini Cooper S 1275
1965 Mini Cooper S 1310
1965 Abarth 1000TC
1965 Falcon Sprint
1966 Lotus Cortina
1966 Shelby Mustang
1965 Mark II 3.8
1965 Elan 26R
1963 Elite
1965 Ford Cortina

Car's can be changed during the season, but points WILL NOT be carried over. So, obviously there will also be 2 different championships going on, a bit like TCL WTCC 1987.

Hopefully there is a car there that is calling your name. If not, find one Car Selection Thread 192488

Oh, I should add, I'd personally prefer not to double up on cars, so please include a car # when you sign up.

SLS Now Up for Registration

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Moz.

I've shortlisted a couple of cars from each of Group 1 & 2. If I go Group 1 & everyone else goes Group 2, I might win this, or at least get a podium. Smile

I'm still undecided, I've practiced a little in the Mini Cooper S but I think its a bit too slow. The Porsche RSR 3.0 is a good car so if I don't go with the Mini I will go with that.

So going by this, should we take the big bangers off the list and server and concentrate on group 2 drifters?

I've just done another couple of hours testing, I've never tested so much in all my life. I've narrowed it down to just two cars now.

Group 1 - '75 Porsche RSR
Group 2 - '65 Alfa GTA

There seems to be about 10s a lap difference between Group 1 & Group 2.

I've decided to run with the car below, if there is not much interest in the class 1 cars I will swap to the Alfa.
