I think I've done 15 odd laps, I was somewhere around high 2.06/ low 2.07 on soft tyres. Not a great track for the Commodore.

Hahahaha. Its a narrow track and those concrete walls are unforgiving.
I hope to make it back in time for the race.

Re: Round 7 Pre Detroit 17 March 2013
I Did enjoy my self last night didn't have any luck at all but had fun.
Race one Spent the first 5 laps half a car max from DV8's bumper was able to follow closely but was never a chance at that stage of the tyre life to make a move. Was really enjoying the run My only real chance of getting past was pressuring DV8 into a mistake which I know from our battles this series isn't easy. On lap 5 at turn 3 or 4 I got a heap of wheelspin and lost the rear plowing the nose into the wall. Had to wait to let everyone by. Massive tyre issues by the end of the race due to a bit to much drifting.
Race Two Reverse Grid on the front row and Change of tyres and some suspension tuning which made a big difference in Warmup. Got a reasonable start but got to turn one and the tyre compound change caught me out going straight bumping into dean and David Sorry Guys. Got it going and then did the same thing next corner. Caught up to David who made me work hard to get through (Great Racing for Position David) and found myself 16 seconds down on DV8. Worked hard to the end of the race getting the gap back down to 8 seconds
Looking Foward to Wakins Glen this is one of my favorate tracks. I would Suggest doing some long runs and testing tyre life as they get a real flogging around here and as they wear it effects lap times greatly

Re: Round 7 Pre Detroit 17 March 2013
Had some good battles with Chris, Dean and Benny in race 1 but running hard fronts and very hard rear tyres with the setup I had got pretty ugly from mid race on. For race 2 I got a setup off Webber and ran hards all around, which made for a very consistent run but I just didn't have the pace of the cars ahead.

Re: Round 7 Pre Detroit 17 March 2013
Brilliant battles! Side by side with FCDean for a few corners, and he came out ahead (briefly... before getting it wrong in the penultimate corner!)
I had to just go and watch the replay again because both races were brilliant but race 2 especially.
During the replay I noticed that whilst battling heavily with FCDean, I turned in on AUS-Chrisrx in T3. Sorry about that dude.
Lap 8 of race 2 was spectacular between me and Corty, at the start I was right up his clacker, at the end I was still behind him, and I don't know how he was hanging onto the car at some of those times. Tyres must have already been dust.
