AVM Classic 2015 - Spa-Francorchamps

Hi guys, I really enjoyed racing with you when I had the opportunity earlier this year so I thought I would invite you all to our 4th Annual AVM Classic. I know a few guys from here raced with us in 2014 even picking up some class wins I have posted it up early so people can arrange their teams. I enjoyed this last year. Not sure if I can do 6 hours though...

EDIT: Whoops...read that wrong. Its 3 hours time scaled by 2.
The Fiat bambina...is it the faster one at 110hp?

Its only 3 Growler, half distance Yes the faster Fiat.

Great, could be the start of a TTR team entry

I know of 4 teams of 3 racers from 2 leagues so far who will enter this. Any chance of getting a TTR team together? Growler and ChrisRX ran last year and even won a class each

Yeah...I'm looking to run...just don't know what car yet.

Hey guys, I just wanted to remind you about this event for next year. I was really hoping that by moving it to a Saturday night we might get one or two team entries from this league? Remember that from 1st Jan single drivers can enter. We already have 3 teams entered with at least 2 more confirmed to be testing to enter. Is there anyone out there ready to challenge us at AVM besides Growler?

I finally DL'ed the mod and I'm super keen to give it a go now! Will have a play with the cars and see what's good

you guys can spend up big if needed (better chance of winning) as i'll have a good battle in the slower category

There's one Porsche left. I was looking at the Healey too, or the Lotus Elan. If there's $90k more to play with though, that opens a lot of doors. Alternatively, if you three want to run as a team, I'll race on me tod and have $100k to use...

i might just run solo so i don't stuff anyone else up.

healy seams ok, easy to kill it though... 3hrs with it will be fun.. i think

get 2 more ttr guys to team up. 2 ttr teams would be good to see.

Not sure just yet. I have just spent a couple of days doing a fresh install so haven't done any testing at all. My other choice might be the Lotus Elan.

I'm probably looking at either the MkII Jaaaaaaaaaag or a Mini, but I'll be there in something. Can we enter now as solo entries and link up as teams later?

Not sure...Auspacer can answer that one...

the 275 ferrari might become a corvette in that class if the team budget allows.

 i think the only fords are gt40 and mustangs

Yeah that's fine enter individually and then let me know later what the teams are. Just remember that individuals can only spend $100,000 but members of the team can spend more if they wish

im think of going to the corvette. the ferrari 275 is more of a handful

Cool, cheers! I might give the Aston a go if I get a chance to use it, but I'm pretty much sold on the Jag. That's $190k left to spend, prospective teammates

OK...I did some random testing today.
I did a warm-up lap, then a timed lap on the default setup.

GT40 - 3.03
Corvette - 3.13 (Such a handful)
Cobra 289 - 3.13 (Not bad actually)
Cobra 427 - 3.14 (Fast in a straight line but brakes aren't that great)
Healy - 3.18 (Goes OK actually)
Lotus Elan - 3.20 (Its OK...but drifts almost every corner)
Bambina - 3.22 (My thought on this was it handles really good, but is just too slow.

Some of the faster cars are so much fun to drive, but could you keep it up for 3 hours?
Of course this does not help me pick a car though...

GTS1 - NIL
GTS2 - TTR-Chrisrx - 65 #9 Corvette $60,000 
CT1 - Fez - 65 #108 Austin Healey $30,000
CT2 - ?? Growler - $110,000 to play with

be aware its better to register sooner before cars are taken.

It'd be awesome to see another TTR team made up. maybe 2 drivers using a jag mk2, ferrari 275 or falcon sprint and a GT40 in Corty's hands to get an overall win.
