I'm finding the Capri very temperamental under brakes when downshifting, now disclaimer I'm using the paddles with no clutch, I can get it right most of the time by stabbing the throttle healthily while changing down but still only getting it right 90% of the time, particularly problematic is the second to last corner where I need 2nd gear.

It does feel like it has too much engine braking, when you get right out of the throttle (not downshifting) it's almost like you are whipping the handbrake up, I've not tried any of the other cars to see if they are similar.

I don't remember the Cologne Capri from Historix being this difficult to drive.

sometimes it feels like its the way you hold your tongue to how much she want to lock up on you or not

I think I will just skip it if thats the case, not really enjoyable currently

The problem with the Capri is that the autoblip isn't working.
Comparing files today I added 2 forward slashes // to the line downshiftblipthrottle=0.20 in the Capris hdv file and this fixed the problem.
eg:: //downshiftblipthrottle=0.20
I'll have a look at the Escort and post again in a minute.

The Escort is solely a braking issue. Driving style and brake pressure/ bias needs to be changed to drive this car.

Wait until the patch is released a little later today before you jump ship.
Spent many hours trying to sort out the Capri last night, I think its all fixed now 

Worm was right though, the Capri's issue was the Engine braking, the Escort was the rear brakes & the RX-3 was the same deal.

I just meant that particular round, but I will give it a blast tonight

Make sure you use 7-ZIP to extract these files, otherwise you will get errors.

The patch includes:
Engine braking & brakes have been tweaked for the Capri, have also lost a little straight line speed.
The Escort, RX-3, RX-7 & Mini have all had their brakes tweaked as well.


The server has already been updated.

mini will shock a few of the bigger cars on the tighter tracks, especially on fuel strategy.

I tested the Mini and couldn't hang on to it, I'm not sure if it was torque steer or my FFB settings are up the putt...

The mini still needs some work on brakes, I did make a change but think I went the wrong way with it, So will be the next update now.

Same as the Charger with the fuel !
I haven't done a fuel run or anything, but I think it could make it the end of the 35min races.
Surprised no one has picked it yet, especially with the new brakes.

I'm getting "opening MAS file..." errors, tried to install twice, any ideas?   Do I need to run in DX9 or 8 or 7 or auto?    I'll try a 3rd time.

Edit, fixed, needed to select Legends of Bathurst series in player screen.

Wow mini is super fun!

The mirrors of some of the cars are dodgy, but you can turn on the "virtual mirrors" in cockpit mode.

If you cant select them in game, you will need to do this:

Go to: 
UserData\USERNAME\
for me its: Userdata\TTR-CortyGT\

Open your "username.plr" file with notepad, in my case its "TTR-CortyGT.plr"

Scroll down until you find this line:
Virtual Rearview In Cockpit="0"


Then change the "0" to "1"
So should look like this:
Virtual Rearview In Cockpit="1"


Now you will have virtual mirrors in cockpit mode.

Now that round 1 is completed and you've all tried out you cars is race conditions 
but not happy with the car you've chosen, 
this is now your chance to change cars if you want to ! 

There is a catch though.... 
If you do decide to change cars, your points from round 1 will be deleted.
Its not all bad because you get to drop your worst round at the end of the series.
The only thing is, you wouldn't want to have another bad round.

If you want to change cars, let me know

I decided to tally & add the bonus points at the end of the series....
Just to add another twist, along with dropping the worst round 

so.. with the dropping of the worst round,.. do we lose our bonus points for that round? just a random thought i had

Good question !

But yes all points earned from the worst round including Bonus points will be lost.
You will most likely not have any anyway on your worst round anyway.

HEY ALL !

A couple of guys have approached me about changing cars.
I've been thinking about what to do as I'm happy for them to change but there has to be some sort of penalty to do so 
The reason for the penalty is to stop those that may change cars every race to suit the track lol.

I thought about this & what I've decided is this:

I will allow 1 change of car.
Currently you will loose you worst round at the end of the series.
The penalty for changing cars will be that you loose your 2 worst rounds at the end.

If you've missed a round or 2, then they will be your worst rounds anyway.
I think this a pretty fair way of going about it & it keeps you in the hunt for a decent place in the championship. 

Let me know ASAP if you want to change

Worm in the XY would devastate, especially at bathurst.

Yes I would like to trade the mini in on an XYGTO PH3. As I said to Corty on Sunday night it's not about the champ for me, I just want to race against somebody and the mini just isn't cutting it.
If consensus would prefer I stick with the mini I will oblige.
