Re: Car Selections
fairly sure, the idea of it is to get people into different cars for a break and a bit of fun with an even field.
i think its a great idea.

I agree, everyone in the same cars for abit of fun before the 'serious' fun begins
Perhaps expected to produce some action like this

Re: Car Selections
ok as far as 88atcc goes.... am thinking seriously of adding 88 misc cars.
People can change cars but not double up.
changing of cars must be decided before round 1 as to not muck up sls scoring.
as far as the mini commodore cup series, the name says it all.
these vk's drive totally different to the twr cars and i cant see any advantage to commodore guys in the 88 series

wally in the interest of keeping it ATTC88 which was the original theme im gonna give up my skyline so that it doesnt bugger up things, think mozza or dan wanted one, im not fussed either way and im happy to drive any of whats left over....will make a decision nearer the time

hi. . .Pillock, um i dont think the numbers are gonna make a difference on the SLS cause they disabled them, so just change the number to something else.
As for the skylines, a few people have mentioned to me that they would rather keep the skins authentic to the series.
That being said i think just leave the skylines as ATCC/Bathurst like we first decided a few pages back.
So the four people that picked them first, run them. Unless they still wanna swap out. I think THIS way is the fairest, all things considered.
First in best dressed. People have had plenty of time to pick cars. If they're gone, they're gone.
My 2c, that's all.

Re: Car Selections
i see your point shayn, but in reality its not 1988 and we are not running in the atcc so i think adding some misc cars isnt a bad idea.
the main reason for this is as we have all been racing together for awhile we know what other driver's styles are like and know how close we can race with them eg, i wont follow webber into a corner under brakes as he tends to brake a few kms before the corner begins. so if he and another person use the same car it can get confusing.

Re: Car Selections
Yer fe Dan, I think Wobbs has left team skyline and decided to drag a vacuum cleaner around.
So if you still want a skyline, the fourth one should be available now.
Unless wobbs is just tryna confuse ppl lol, check it out with him, but I think he's grabbed an RS.

Re: Car Selections
Ther ya go.
Look, personally I'd rather have four different skinned R31s going around, but authenticity seems to be a big player in this league so I'm happy to go along with the majority of ppl here.
I'm in no positon to try and change things.
But yer I see your point also. Just make sure you have name tags on during the race.

Re: Car Selections
make sure you go to the sls site and register your car choice Butters.
If you dont do that, your points for any race wont be counted.
But seeing as we are half way through the season already, i doubt it will make much of a difference, so its up to you, if you want to be on the points table.
If you want to register, go to this link:
http://www.ttrracing.com/sls/php/index.php?dataarray%5Bdest%5D=register&dataarray%5Bmode%5D=new&dataarray%5Bcase%5D=drivers
And make sure you select the ATCC 88 Season.
Im fairly sure no one has the Colin Bond Sierra.

Slightly OT, but perhaps interesting.
I know the owner of Colin Bond's 1988 ATCC Sierra. He bought it in a tired, rundown state, but still very original. He's now in the middle of a "sympathetic restoration" before running the car in occasional Historic Group A Touring car events. Because the car is so original, he's trying very hard not to "over restore" the car. It's difficult to define the line between patina and decay.
Back in the day, 1988 was Bondy's best year in Sierras. He won two races and finished third in the championship.
