Round 4: Wanneroo Pre-race

So now its time to "Go West" (cue the song) for Round 4 of the 1988 ATCC at Wanneroo.



Round 4 already, its going quick. We've had three different winners from the first 3 rounds, will the trend continue?

The hot times i'm guessing will be in the 58-60sec barrier?

As a warmup, here is Round 4 of the actual 1988 ATCC (it gets VERY exciting about 15 laps in)

Won't be able to make this round as i'll be away in QLD... But i may sneak on during the week to see what sorta times i can punch out in the M3

when is the practice server going up? thursday again?

just a qq, does it go up on thursday cos of monetary reasons? or time constraints?

or is it just for authenticity? cos if so im sure people would rather have it up earlier.

but if its a money issue, or time to set it up then thats fine.

just wondering.

maybe if your in brisbane, do you want to meet up somewhere groupc to say hi and catch up???

pity it's the wrong weekend cause if you were up one week earlier or later the muscle car museum is on those weekends

Time really!
By the time I go through the results and manually do the real life series points and the combined points and the lower classes etc, i need a break for a couple of days.

ahhh ok then wally, no problemo, was just wondering.

probably wont be till friday that i can get on and do a substantial amount of laps anyways. And even then, the Hawks are playing Friday so i wont be fully committed lol.

Nice track by the way, i love the undulating, fast courses like this, Dijon, Mt.Fuji and Spa etc. Lots of room to open up the throttle, unlike Winton, which was just a head scramble.

Looking forward to it.

Yeap I reckon this has gotta be one of Australia's top 3 tracks. Behind Bathurst of course!

not baaaad. getting better. I'd be real happy to get mid 59's.

It might just be me but i've always found offline practice, when it comes to setup and laptimes, doesn't really cross-over well when it comes to running online.

I remember last season at Bathurst, i had the Supra in the low-17s offline, but on the server i couldn't even crack a low-18 on a qualifying lap, so i only go on the server these days.

I think a balls out, inch perfect lap might produce a 57 in a Sierra, but race pace would be at best a high 58 i reckon.
