Well, I went on tonight and did 17 laps. The car felt very good and I have reached 58.222. Still 8.4 seconds down from the leader but every lap I'm improving and the laps were consistent! =)

When is this on? This Sat? or next?

Had a test run tonight and ran full race distance and discovered this is going to be a tyre war not a so much a outright speed race. First 22 laps drove as hard as I could till about lap 16 where the tyres all rolled over two 4 red dots. Nursed the car till lap 22 with some pretty bad drop off close to 3 seconds slower last two laps and last one actually ran off the track.

Second stint drove the car straight didnt push the car through last few corners and and made sure I didnt push the front through the hair pin. Best time in this stint was .400 done on previous stint but the times remained consistent through the whole stint. Even run the car out to 26 laps and it still had good grip

I hoping because driving it straight puts me mid 51's for the 22 laps

Because with my setup I could even last 8mins only bout 3 laps lol

You have to get around without locking the brakes to often and don't push the car around last few corners it chews tyres. The hairpin will also destroy them have to get all your braking done prior to turn in. In my run for tyre conservation I slide the car a couple of times into thehair pin and watched the dots disapear per metre that I slid

So I had a run last night didn't push the car at all and we're doing flat 51's and my tyres lasted around 36 laps so hopefully if I conserves fuel I will be doing no pitstops

I spent a fair bit of time last night with Kiwi and we helped each other increase tyre life and speed. But I can't see me pushing the tyres into the 30+ laps. Maybe out by myself but in behind someone on the track Red Mist kicks in and you push that little bit harder here and there miss a couple of brake markers.

lol 36 laps not a chance i got 18 before i was losing way to much time but for 15of them most where low mid and high 50's not fussed on tyre coservation gonna loose to much times me thinks lol and it aint a big pit lane

Or I might try and half the tyres so I can get bigger gains mmmm

I'm a new member. I've just started sim racing, and have been practising in your server all week, myself, my brother and my friend were wondering if there is any remaining spots for the race tonight? And if so how and what do we need to do to sign up for it. We are very keen to have a full race as we have been practising and doing quick races on this track all week. Like i said i am only new, any help would be appreciated.

cant wait,, all signed up and ready to go.. Not sure about 50-51s though i can run 12 @ low-mid 52s then 6 in low 53's then tires go.. not sure on tire pressure though might need to play with a set that i was sent last night... spent all week trying to get more turn in that hav'nt played with the tires too much.

I think the setup you got might be mine bot sure but normally you find it is that you pushin to hard brake earl at this track is the key to the lap also making sure the car doesn't slide to much. There will e plenty of guys around your speed tonight as well some fast guys that may have to stop 2 times

With the Skins are 2012 skins available to use or just 2011.. I DL the 2012 pack from here and would like to use the Norton's car but there is no option in the registration area to choose that car ?

Can use either 11 or 12 just use the car number in sls I'll fix it up later

tyres are gonna be huge here, i think im gonna try 1 stop.

im not quick enough to do 2 stops.

not expecting very much though. I always stuff up at this track, so just see what happens i guess.
