Re: Post Bathurst
I had probably my best night since starting here at TTR. Stuck it in the sandtrap avoiding Iceman in the first race and finished 10th. Just glad he didn't end up in there with me lol. Was my mistake. Second race was better. Managed to avoid the carnage and ended up second courtesy of Mini sandtrapping in the Chase on the last lap. Feature race was hard work from go to whoa. Managed to grab the lead for a lap but ran deep at Hell Corner and slipped to 5th. From there I kept my head down and tried to stay consistent. Slowly made my way up the leader board and just managed to hold off Iceman for the win. Or was he going easy on me being a fellow Kiwi? Haha either way I'll take my first race win with glee! =) I definately wasn't the fastest car out there but sometimes consistency pays off I guess. Awesome nights racing. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Cheers all. =)

Re: Post Bathurst
Race 1 - I was on a slope for the start and the cars in front were blocking the start lights and there was no sound to signal the start either. I had to make up positions I lost at the start and at the end of the first lap I passed two cars under braking into the Chase. I did the same thing during the Bathurst Enduro last year at the same corner and I knew I could make it work again haha
Race 2 - I had 2nd place on the final lap but the tyres didn't grip as normal into the chase and I ran off the track but it was a rookie mistake and I finished 3rd.
Race 3 - I was in 2nd place and I thought I had a good strategy to finish well. The fuel tank capacity was not big enough to finish the race. I pitted and then ADF-Nugget did as well a few laps later. It was a battle between us two for the win until I realised that you were allowed to use the bigger fuel tank at the end of the race when everybody else didn't enter the pit-lane at all.
I just can't believe my luck in this series. I don't know if the car is different to Jamie Whincup's that I normally drive or maybe i'm just a little bit unlucky but I just need to refresh back to normal and get back to where I normally should be...

Re: Post Bathurst
It was a real blast, first V8Factor Online Race, made alot of mistakes throughout the night but also had good pase and was able to finished all 3 Race's
Race 1: started 16th after having problems in Qually and got myself up to 5th and had a gud battle for 4th
Race 2: Had the lead for the first couple laps, had a gud battle with a couple guys for the lead, then put it in the wall and limped home with no splitter in 13th
Race 3: Jumped the start then got turned around twise in 2 corners, a 72 second Pit stop put me down a lap, then put consistent laps down to be able to finish 13th.
Really enjoyed it thanks guys

Myholden view the replays and maybe read rules as I think you will find that not quite correct statement above

Re: Post Bathurst
Had a fairly interesting 3 races, its funny how little I remember of race 1, I have no replay of it and the only thing I really remember is Scott having a lunge down into Hell Corner, but I knew he was down the inside as his car was out of my mirror and so I just didnt turn in until I saw him go straight on ahead, and then apparently I finished fourth.
In race 2 I fluffed turn 2 a bit, made contact with the right rear corner of Powerslave's car, hope i didnt do too much damage, but dropped to 11th, but then proceeded to have a solid battle with Benny but eventually got by him after a good run out of Forrest Elbow and down Conrod, and ended up 6th in the end.
For most of race 3 I was a second or two behind Scott and it wasn't until near the end that I actually closed right up to his tail, the two of us progressively moving up to 1st and 2nd through other guys either going off, pitting for tyres and/or n00bing fuel strategy haha .

Re: Post Bathurst
Didn't set a qualifying time as I was making sure that the 10 min qualifying session was done right. (sorry for any confusion as the server was set at 30 min qualifying session)
Race 1 - Started 15th, got up to 10th and then had an off at the top of the mountain and made sandcastles trying to get out... circulated for points and finished 13th
Race 2 - Set up came good in the last half of the race and had some good laps battling TTR Powerslave... very happy with 4th
Race 3 - Started 4th and was back in 6th by turn 2 as a flying Nugget and RR1CHO came through. Gained 4thh as others pitted. Had Powerslave on a towrope for the middle part of the race and some interesting moments with RR1CHO in the last few laps... antoher 4th!

Re: Post Bathurst
another great nights racing, Im really loving this series.
Firstly very happy with the steady improvments I have been making with this mod and last night really wanted to translate some of that pace in the race and for the best part I did.
Qually was good set a time that was up around one of my better
Race one had a good start but was a little slow and got jumped by a few cars, I then got back a couple of spots and held on pretty well had some really good battles and the racing was pretty clean good finish for 5th
Race two decided to increase my rear wing up 1 (Mistake) Got a really good start and tried to be pretty agressive into T1 this time or at least too hold my spot I had the missfortue of some had me up in 3rd pretty quick.. Held of mini for awhile but the increase in rear wing proved to be my undoing as everyone seemed to catch me pretty quick after a few battles found myself behind Kiwi and stayed there till the last lap when I shifted down too quick at the chase
Race three got a pretty good start but had some work to do managed to get past Nuckin pretty early and pushed on to catch the front pack got back behind Kiwi and it was on again I never had enough to make a pass and settled in after richo got on my bumper I let him pass to catch Kiwi and a few laps later saw richo in the sand and got the spot back good finish for 5th
all in all a good nights racing with some great clean battles, It's a shame a few didnt have the chance to do the same if not for the issue in R2 would have been 3 5th's.
again awesome series and really looking forward to the next round after the V8 round next week... WD aussies

Re: Post Bathurst
3 races, 3 dnfs, i think unless i finished a race can't remember, it was a pretty average performance either way - The mod has bugged me since I have had it and it continues to have the wood over me. Probably averaging 3-4 laps a race on this mod max.

Re: Post Bathurst
Been Thinking heaps about your problem Fijian are you using Auto blip (I do I think most do as well) , Is it possible the rear locking is engine compression by changing down to early instead of brakes.

Re: Post Bathurst
I do run auto blip. The problem is my pedals, i struggle to get a low enough brake percentage. So braking when tyres a slightly loaded makes thinks tough. I should be fine at Puke and Qld, like i was a Sandown.
