Round 7 - Silverstone (July 14)

Last round of the championship. Looking forward to getting back to a track where we can go 3 wide down the straights and corners.

What sort of times have been reached so far...

Will be looking for a drafting partner in Qually, anyone keen??

There's some pretty impressive 1:31's up on TTR Live at the moment - although Corty will probably knock out a 29 or something on Sunday night.

Im using alot of rear swaybar here, lifted the rear sping rate a little and max neg camber on the left side of the car.
I find im holding alot more speed through the corners and able to get back on the gas earlier.

Live Racers hasnt been up for the last few days ?
Is this the same for everyone or is it just my PC ?

I have dowloaded TCL 1.o and loaded that to RF1 and now downloading tcladdons , just want to make sure im doing it right corty........cheers pod

You will need the v1.0 to v1.1 update
I think everything is included in that update these days ?

im grabing them off the sunday downloads , cant see the v1.1 updat or is that the tcladdons.rar?

have you tried getting in the server yet with what you have already ?

How'd the races go guys? Silverstone is one of my favourite tracks... great in the TCL wagens

went okay, race one was incident free trying to stay with lead pack but pace wasnt quite there, race 2 was doing well up in 4th after a great start and got tapped around leading to a large accident just after 1st corner. bit of a shame but clawed back to 10th spot. had more pace in race 2 as the alfa seems to go better in the longer stints although still didnt have the pace of some of the mercs or beemas.

Great racing last night and much closer than usual. Hardly anyone got lapped, even in the long race. Hell, i even finished both races on the lead lap!

I spent heaps of time running with cars all around me, battling for position, a welcome change.

Made a great start in the first race, from the second last row and it took some of the quick guys several laps to retake the places i gained.

Started the reverse grid race on pole and blew it badly! Missed the 1-2 change and was 7th into Copse. Amazingly, it took ages for me to work my way to the back of the field. With two laps to go i caught Growler (he was playing silly buggers) with someone else and we had great fun dicing to the end. (I think he was rolling out of the throttle to keep it close).

Great end to a good season.

Well done to Groupcaction for the Championship  , you were way to consistent for any of us.

It took me a while to get used to the merc and how it treats its tyres, but once I did it was a great machine to drive.

Very surprised   to finish 2nd in the champ as 2 rounds ago I was back in 6th or 7th.

Hopefully we have a lot more series with close door to door racing like this one was.
