Round 1 - Monza (August 4)

Round 1 of the TTR 1986 European Touring Car Championship takes place at Monza.
The Monza circuit was the traditional opening of the European touring car season for many years, and this is where our season starts.
RACE FORMAT
Two races;
1x 15min race
1x45min race
Race 2 grid is formed by the finishing order of race 1
Tyre Wear - x3
Fuel Use - x3

Here is how the actual 1986 Monza ETCC round panned out
DRIVING STANDARDS:
JUST A REMINDER THAT IF YOU ARE INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT WHERE YOU SPIN THE CAR INFRONT, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO RE-DRESS THE SITUATION AND FALL IN BEHIND THEM ONCE THEY RECOVER.
OBVIOUSLY THIS DOESN'T APPLY IF THEY HAVE A MOMENT AND YOU CAN'T AVOID THEM, BUT IF YOU CAUSE THEM TO LOSE CONTROL THEN YOU ARE EXPECTED TO RE-DRESS.

seams im having problems finding the server, can refresh the the server list numerous times and still nada
finds z-car and enduroracers servers fine
nyone else having this issue or is it just me?

Go down to TTR. The capslock name put it further down the list.
Or you could just link the server address from LR onto your desktop. Its awesome, sends you right to the server.

There is a program called mUtil which is very good. It allows you to serach the servers without being in-game, and you can join the server from the program itself.
The only drawback is that it only works on one install of rFactor.

Racer - I have a "just for clarification" question.
For the race is the area at the back of the circuit coming onto the long straight allowed to be driven or is this out of bounds?

dont be lazy haha, white lines. 
but you dont really gain by going out there, infact you probably lose time, so id say you'd be okay.

Doing high 2.02s and low 2.03s in the Merc with full fuel and hard tyres, safe to say it won't be troubling anyone around here. I'd imagine fuel will be tight for some at the end of race 2.

should make race 2 a parc ferme start from race 1 ie, what fuel you had at the end of race 1 you start with for race 2. mmmm strategies 
and also on the variant chicane if you run too wide you clip barrier and end up in a nasty acco!

I need the TCL sound file for this mod. I've managed to download and update to V1.1 but I don't have any sound files. Just wondering if there was an alternative sound file to use or if someone could give me a link to the TCL sound file only.
Any help would be appreciated so I can join this series.

In real life drivers don't get penalised for going over that kerbing, so it will be allowed here.
As mentioned its not really any quicker, and you are technically making the lap longer, not shorter. It's advised that drivers who do run wide take care when re-joing the track proper though.

Everyone in class 3 at least i'd say will be pitting for fuel.
Merc should come into its own in the long race next weekend at Donington. The mix of tracks will hopefully allow every car to shine somewhere.

I believe it is...but not too sure if its a setting on the server, or you do it as an admin...

installed this version of monza and did some testing tonight. First time i've used this version, i like it, it seems much more open than the brianza that comes with rfactor.
I'm happy with my setup, it feels good and the data is good too. Got down to 2:05.

Yeh David the Lesmo bends in the middle of the lap are way faster in the pre-1994 Monza especially Lesmo 2.
