Top racing tonight guys
Really intense racing as it was hard to keep the alfa on the black stuff, though most of you probably had the same trouble ?
Had to have a shower after the races as my clothes were drenched with sweat lol.
Not one of my favorite tracks, but I like the challenge of it.
So very happy to get a 3rd in the first race and surprised to get 1st in the second.
Only 2 rounds to go and the numbers have been great all through the series.
Well done guys

I'm filthy that I've had to miss out on a few weeks of racing. Really missing my Sunday nights. The daylight savings thing is totally stuffing me up as well as generally "having a bit on" on a weekend. Anyway, hopefully over XMAS things might slow down a bit and I can get back into it.

Was a great couple of races last night! Finally had the Alfa sorted and could just drive it fast, and the turnout was awesome!
Started Race One on the grid behind my newest rival Growler. T1 got busy and I fell back a bit, was with Stasis when we both caught up to Felden, Chris and Growler having a fair scrap. We jumped in and for a few laps it was brilliant. There was no carefully calculated passing attempts, you just went for any and every gap you saw haha! Was clean racing though, as always. Love it!
Race 2, Corty and Growler had ripper starts! Was a lot busier earlier on and I didn't feel as fast as the first race. Had Floydie on my tail for ages, and he had the pace to comfortably stay there. Fell off at one stage and caught back up real quick! Pitted for fuel (a lot, this Alfa V6 drinks something fierce!) and tyres, and copped a drive-thru for speeding. I looked in the replay and I bloody wasn't, so I'll be having a word with Bargs about that! Ended up chasing Chris again, and had a good battle to the end of the race. Went for glory on the last lap, but he held it. Sorry for the bump at T1!
Was quality racing the whole evening, looking forward to next time!

No worries CD. I'm glad you missed it, I'd have missed out on a Top finish 10 if you ran.

Re: TCL 2.5 Litre Trans Tasman Challange - Round 10 (7th December)
Yes...it was good clean racing, and a good turn-out.
I wasn't interested in actually trying to get a good placing, I was more interested in keeping in front of Dave!
Race one I had good pace at the start but the tires went off pretty quickly. I tried to keep Dave behind me, but he had better pace than me so I had to let him go.
In race two I had to get a really good start so I could get some distance from Dave. The first couple of laps were good and managed to keep with the top 2, but on the third lap I'm not too sure what happened. Looking at the replay I slid into Billy Bob which was OK...but as I straightened up, Corty went past, then my car went sideways into the wall. Really weird!
I managed to finish behind Dave so shouldn't lose to many points.
Regarding the points, I'm away on business this week so will update the points later this week.

Re: TCL 2.5 Litre Trans Tasman Challange - Round 10 (7th December)
was a cracker few races! aim was to beat growler to keep 5th spot in championship alive.
Race 1 was looking a little grim as i was about to lose 2 spots to growler but old mate Stasis helped out with the growler problem
some insane racing with about 5 of us going at it for most of the race.
Race 2 was eventful with numerous battles. far out that battle with dave was epic. the Alfa was all over me like a seagull on a sick prawn but managed to hold him off.

Re: TCL 2.5 Litre Trans Tasman Challange - Round 10 (7th December)
Was a good little race in the end! first race was a pretty frantic battle, in case anyone missed it I whipped up a little video. Sorry the quality isn't great, even the edit was pretty rough, just wanted to knock it up quickly. Rubbin is Racin!
Race 2 unfortunately I got spun on the first lap and had to race hard to come back from last, Was very happy to finish 5th in the end! maybe could have come higher if not for the spin, but who cares if your having fun eh!

Nice one on the video, Felden! My Alfa looks more ... front-wheel drive than I remember though

Re: TCL 2.5 Litre Trans Tasman Challange - Round 10 (7th December)
Haha it always looks worse and more ragged on video! There was a few moments that didn't feel so bad racing, but on the vid I was lucky not to be turned around, and not to turn someone else around! I do like how forgiving these cars are, in some other mods, half of those bumps would of been spins for sure! I wouldn't say this was an example of good clean racing, but it was good fun!

Awesome video...I can see the determination on Dave's face as he tries to catch me...

Nah, that face is me trying to tame all of my Escort's rowdy power-oversteer haha
