Townsville

Qualifying
Qual starts at 7.30pm TTR time. This will be a 10 minute session.
You can do as many laps as you want.

Race 1
Race 1 is a 15 minute sprint race

Race 2
Race 2 is a 40 minute race.
The grid for the second race will be made up from the finish place of the first race, however the top ten placings will be reversed.
There is a compulsory pit stop this round

G'day lads, having a bit of a battle getting this Townsville 2012 track to work. I keep getting 'track geometry mismatch' whether I use the download from these forums, or either of the v1.0 or v1.1 available on rFactor Central. Any ideas?

Do you have your tracks in one folder where each rFactor install is redirected to it?
If so, have you tried to put the track in the actual install with this mod?

I only have one install of rFactor. All of my mods (~20) and tracks (~100) are therefore contained in that one install.

I saw that a few of you are having problems with this, I checked and my version is fine, So I whacked the track folder into my dropbox if anyone wants to Download it, the folder is unzipped it just needs to be pasted into your Locations folder in rFactor.

Nice work Felden, that seems to be going now, although with a slight bit of trickery, in that I seemed to need to copy the file tw5200.jpg (about 22MB) from the Townsville2012.zip from TTR downloads, into the townsville folder. But got the job done. Thanks.

Oh ok, well if that's all that's needed, people can click into the Townsville folder, select to view the files as a list then scroll down until they see tw5200.jpg, click on it and then download just that file to paste into their existing Townsville folder Smile

I stuffed around with various Townsville versions, tried copying individual files etc. Eventually gave up.

Should have jumped on TS. I downloaded Feldens version and it all worked.
I don't know what the difference was, but the version I had was 106mb, Feldens was 104mb.

great racing last night guys. surprised to be on the pace with 2 laps completed before qually in the TCL's around the clownsville track.
bit of help up front with a few stop go's etc and picked the right option of changing tyres in 2nd race to pip iceman for the lead in the dying laps.....JUST!
