Re: Car Selections
Seeing that wobbz has decided to ump ship from team merc.
I'm gonna be driving his #34 merc, cos my #51 merc was clashing with the #51 Corolla that was picked. The sls site wouldn't let me have the same number, so that should solve that.
Woulda been awesome to have the 3 mafia cars running. Oh well.
** I gave the 31 a few laps at some different tracks and I wasn't blown away by it so, I'm happy to stay with the Mercedes.
Bring it owwwwn!

Re: Car Selections
updated on page one guys.....
couple of things.
#1, don't forget to go edit it sls as well if you change cars
and regarding wtcc87 series.
The points that is displayed in the utilty I use show up different to if you add them all up.
This is probably due to wobbly changing his name from WOBBLYONE to WobblyOne.
In the next series could everyone please keep to their original names and cars as not to confuse the sls system.
If you want to change before the season start thats fine but after we start we will have to keep it as per the first round so as the SLS system works properly.
So please be happy with your selections before the opening round.
current season points have been updated on the forum.

Hmmm can't change my username on SLS so that it matches my ingame name. Anyone know how? It won't delete...
If not, I'll have to change my rfactor profile.

Re: Car Selections
Just threw in a lazy redback as well As others have stated i love the racing on this site as well, happy to help out
Dave, log in and go to the "Drivers" tab, and select "Edit Data". In there you should be able to alter your name, nickname etc... and then save it at the bottom of the page

I'm doing that racer Just wont let me change my nickname The default nick on Track is set to what I race under (Dave Gibson), but the general sls nickname is elgibo. Will that work you reckon or do both have to be Dave...?
Re: Car Selections
yikes. only four cars in Class2.
seriously considering my alternative, the mighty Nissan skyline.
gotta do some more testing tonight.

Hi all!
I think I would like to drive the Mustang with the no. 28, if no one from you wants to drive.
Will put it in the SLS, too...
Thanks a lot!
EDIT: Just tried to fill in the SLS with the Mustang no. 28, but there is already an other Car with this no., a Sierra, so that the SLS says me that it´s not possible to take the no. 28.
Can I take an other car no. for the SLS, although the Mustang has no. 28? Or what do I have to do now?
Thanks for feedback!

Its best to choose the car you are most comfortable racing with, irrespective of class
You might find that over a race distance (as opposed to one lap), the BMW or Merc is a faster car for you for the 60min duration. In that case you are much better taking that car than another.
As for the Skyline, its a great car, the 2nd best in the mod, only headed by the RS500 Sierra. I used the Skyline to win the Tuesday TCL Series earlier this year.

Re: Car Selections
Hello,
I a few moments ago I tried again to register myself with the Mustang no. 28 in the SLS, this time I wrote "028" in the registration. But it didn´t work again, it says that this no. is already used (for a RS500, see my other post from today morning). Can I post any no. there or not?

Re: Car Selections
I'm considering changing from the no28 sierra to a skyline, BUT I haven't decided fully yet. I'm still having the odd test as both are cars I don't usually run. I'll let you know if I do change, then the 28 will be freed up.

I don't think the number particularly matters in sls, perhaps just put in #29, or #280?

Re: Car Selections
Hi!
At first thanks for your feedback!
OK I will try it and just put another no. in the SLS system while registration. I only asked because I don´t know if the starting number in the SLS MUST agree with the starting no. of / on the car. Will take any other no, so that elgibo doesn´t have to change the car if he don´t wants to, and averything would be fine...

Re: Car Selections
So ive made a swap, and changed my details on the SLS site.
I'm gonna be pushing the ATCC R31 Nissan Skyline #30, next season. And yes, this is my final decision.
I wanted to run the Skyline this season, but it was on the wrong category, so i picked up the M3.
I dont think the extra power of the skyline is going to give me a huge advantage, as it is quite a handfull to drive, and well, im not that good yet.
So i think i will be running around the same pace as i would be in the Merc, that i originally chose.
This being so, id rather be in a car i really like, and be in the same spot as a car that is my second choice.
Grabbing a Sierra would just be a grab for power and trying to ride that to better spots. The skyline is a middle ground.
I know i dont need to justify my selections to you guys lol, but im just explaining my change of mind, given what ive said in the past.
Looking forward to this, however tricky the R31 turns out to be.
(sorry mozz. but i cant go past the chance to race the 31 )

Re: Car Selections
Yeh just tested the 88 Merc at Symmonds with the AI on 120%.... 1.5 seconds slower down the back straight, compared to an RS500. Lol. Please help me!
With those kinda times + running essentially alone, my hand has been forced.... Watch this space for a change of car choice......

Re: Car Selections
Yer for sure man, itd be great to have both of the slylines running next season.
I'm not sure how much of a team mate I will be lol, but if that's the car you wanna run ill be happy to have another skyline to race against/with.
I've heard some rumbles, so get in quick if you want the other skyline, as I'm not sure if duplicates are allowed.

GroupC is also running in Class B in the M3, so you wouldn't be alone. Plus don't forget Symmons is the worst track of all for the M3s and Mercs, your better off testing your luck at Winton Club or Amaroo to get a gauge.

Re: Car Selections
have decided after a quick test (id never tried the skyline b4) that i am going to run FINAL FINAL FINAL DESICION no30 skyline, i see it hasnt been picked but i see shano mentioned interest in this so if he wanted it i will remove my pick from SLS, Sorry to be a pain in the arse guys/wally but after a quick go i was 3 secs a lap faster than i could manage in the TWR......the skyline feels like a overpowered M3 which suits me might not have the outright power of a rs500 but feel it might give em a run for their money at a few tracks

Re: Car Selections
The only problem is with the SLS results site.
If it accepts a different number for your car then its ok. Cos ther are only #15 and #30 skylines. I know you can enter a different number on the site, whether it will stuff things up later i dont know.
Benny or Wally will know for sure.
I dont care if we double up on the number on our doors lol. Just as long as it doesnt confuse stuff.
3 skylines in the season!
You guys are gonna make me look bad lol. Orrrr, ill make you look reallllly good. keke.

is it ok to swap? i dont think i want to run in the lagtastic sierra anymore. kinda bored of it now! was gunna run an r31
also maybe include misc cars. that adds another 3 skylines, id rather different skins than people doubling up. even though there are 4 atm. they look identical. in that case id run the 12 calsonic skyline

I think this question was raised earlier in this thread & it was decided that it was ATCC88 & Bathurst88 only with no double ups?
