Next Week Will be Barbagello and then into the a new series. I'm Yet to discuss this with Webber but I would think that this series will finish after Barbagello. Do you want to continue this ATCC throughout the year following the week before the V8 supercar calendar. If so there would be 4 separate championships though out the year this one being the first

Re: Pre Hamilton Re Run
So wait, this series is ending so a new one can be started?
Is the Volvo Vs. Commodore Series going ahead?
This is all getting pretty confusing and frustrating.
I think just run one at a time is the best idea. Running one this week another the next week then a side one just drags them all on for ever.
Didn't we used to just run one series till it finished then started another one.

Re: Pre Hamilton Re Run
Shayn I'm just trying to get it back together at the moment we are only doing what was planned other than hamilton moving nothing has changed yet.
What you had been doing was DTM1987 just finished
On the week before V8's weekends you had been running ATCC and stopping what ever the current main series was Eg: DTM recenenly
Hamilton got cancelled but needs to be run as we said we would. This sunday is meant to be Wannaroo but we pushed it back a week to get hamiton back in.
Finishing Up ATCC season after Wanaroo so it is possible to run series all in a row again if this is what the majority want.
So it currently shouldn't be more confusing that what it was it is exactly what you have been running the question was how to clean it up.
Re the Volvo v VK or what ever is next is separate topic.
The Current question is did you want to keep going with ATCC running the way it was the weekend before V8 supercar series and interrupt the main series. Or just have one series in a row

Re: Pre Hamilton Re Run
I liked it running the week before the real event. I found this was a good practice for driving the V8s the Saturday night of the real event and it also gave you a different car to drive rather than driving the same car in the same series for months on end.

Yes, good point Shano. I also thought it was just 1 whole championship thru out the year.

Re: Pre Hamilton Re Run
You Can have it run all year if you like my thought was with people in debate about weights, wanting series to be all in one. I thought finishing it up and starting fresh would help get things back on track.
With the four series is just what we do gives everyone a chance throughout the year and overall winner. Not something that has to be either just a option

Re: Pre Hamilton Re Run
I like the ATCC TCL series running one week prior to the V8s, on the V8 tracks. I think it's sad if people will quit competing in a series just becasue they're out of contention. So what if you can't win, it's still fun racing.
I've never come close to winning anything with you guys, but i'm still here. The only time i miss a round is due to RL racing or CAMS Commitments and the odd family occasion.

id be super keen to keep it as 1 big series....
maybe webbs racer and gc can come up wit a weight penalty system as them guys run the weights the most lol

Re: Pre Hamilton Re Run
The series right from the start was one week before the real series. One of the reasons was so drivers could have a practice at the track before the V8 Version the following week.
In my opinion(only) as long as only one other series runs on the nights that ATCC doesn't run it shouldn't be too confusing.
That was going to be old school(vlhdt) against Volvo turbo at the top rated raceable tracks available at rfactor central.
Management of Sunday has changed so that may be altered.
I made the mistake of too many championships trying to follow the real series on Thursdays and it did get rather messy. That has been fixed now.
Maybe a poll to see if everyone is happy with that new series or want new managers to create another could be beneficial.
I had weight ballasts in ATCC series and due to recent discussions and also change of management, maybe whether to have weights or not should maybe go to a poll.

Re: Pre Hamilton Re Run
I reckon keep the current 'ATCC suppost series' going as 1 whole series the week before the real thing.
And have one other championship at a time going on the other weeks. That should be pretty manageable

Re: Pre Hamilton Re Run
Hey guys, sorry I've been away on hols.
Agree with most of what's been said above. ATCC support series continues, preferably keeping it the one championship throughout since that punishes absences less and is a bit more straightforward. Probably keep it without weights as well since that's how it was spawned, but we'll look into some combination of fuel and tyres that might spice it up between big and small cars. That's one thing we've tried a few times but haven't nailed yet in my opinion. Testing. (Shano's area of expertise )
For the next series, the Vulvas vs Commodes is a good idea, but the suggestions made by people put in charge of choosing the next season, is that there are quite a few racers keen to step into the ATCC 85-86 cars. Possibly using some skins painted by a few of our own like David Paterson and racer69. The cars are very even despite being quite varied.

well as proven at a couple of rounds so far the sierras cant make it on a tank of gas and have to pit.. whicj in future tracks will be the same too yeah...and chucks us right back in the mix fightin wit the class 2 cars... even adding 1 lap to the races will ensure we have to pit at nearly every round so definatly mixes it right up.....
no wieghts i way keen for...cause keeps that close racing at the front in the vls and sierras
and keepin it 1 whole series still is the go as i said befor start of series was gonna donate a tcl trophy to the overall winner... which still would love for that to happen....

Re: Pre Hamilton Re Run
I think it should stay as one series and still one week before the v8 round. As for the race I will have to do some testing, I don't think I can do it with no stops in the Skyline I certainly ran out in both races in Adelaide.
