Re: Post Test Chat
I quite enjoyed it really.
At Darwin KK and I had a close battle for a while and I couldn't actually see any problems.
Just my 2.65c worth lol
very enjoyable night

Re: Post Test Chat
Bit of a low turnout but at least everyone was assured of a podium..........
Adelaide
Tried some tweaks with the set up, which seemed to work with qualifying but struggled coming up to the first chicane (lost the back end when braking, more than once)
We were never close enough for the extended hit-box to be an issue. The engine and trans got progressively hotter and hotter.... and didn't cool down. engine then expired about 15 mins into the race.
Hidden Valley
Had a very close battle with Wally26 for the first half of the race. I didn't hit him (i don't think) because I was aware of the distance I needed to keep. And I am pretty sure Wally never hit me either when I was in front..............
Had a few offs which let Wally get away. The brakes and tyres were getting dodgy near the end....
Again the engine and trans were getting hot... even when you take it easy they don't cool down.
Still not sure the mod is going to suit a championship due to mainly the hit-box issue. I have tested with a large AI field and it is hard to close in and make a move when you need to allow a 2 meter buffer. Try remembering that when you have your "race face" on!

Not sure on that wally, maybe for some it was the reason? But Milo, Benny & myself had other commitments and posted that we couldn't attend.
I have not had any spare time to do any additional testing beside's the beta testing i did in short single player mode for handling before the mod was released, so i can't make any further comment on damage to the engine, gearbox etc due to this.

Re: Post Test Chat
I had been looking forward to this expecting a decent turn out after having raced with a bunch of non ttr dudes on a week night.
But I guess that was straight after the mod was released.
3 and 4 drivers in a race doesn't often make for good racing. I'm sure this mod does though.
