G25 Pedal issues
Ok. I have been having an intermittent problem and with Dano's help ( Thanks Dano ) finally figured it out.
It started out 1 lap in maybe 300 laps & gradually got worse to the point it was happening every lap the past couple of days. I would be doing a lap and it sounded to me like the V8 Supercar was misfiring or like it was bouncing off the rev limiter. I tried other mods and couldn't hear the problem but maybe my ear is tuned so well to the V8 it was easy for me too pick-up on. I downloaded the original sound pack again & that didn't do anything. I asked Dano to jump in my car to see if he could hear it, sure enough he did & he said it sounds like your getting on & off the throttle on this particular lap i realised something was wrong as where i normally pull 6th gear i was still in 5th and at the end of the straight i was down 30kmh on normal speed & 1.5 seconds slower for the lap. So i opened Logitech profiler & looked at my throttle percentage when i pushed the throttle down fully it was 100%, not convinced i pressed the throttle again 2 more times held it flat and suddenly it was fluctuating from 100% down to 73%.
So if you are ever wondering why your pace has suddenly gone or hear the car making this weird noise chances are it is your pedals.
Each pedal has a Potentiometer. This is the little electrical component that is playing up, make sure you give this part a good soaking with the Contact Cleaner.
I took my pedals to work and opened them up gave them a good blow out with compressed air and gave it a soaking with Contact Cleaner. After you have blown them out you would think it would be clean, well after soaking it with Contact Cleaner i was surprised how much dust & dog & cat hair etc came out of some area's, be sure to get rid of all of this foreign material before applying the lube. Once this was done you will see the little plastic gears, apply a small amount of grease to them and the little springs i put a bit of chain lube on and all the pivot points etc i sprayed with WD40. Took them home at the end of the day & is working like new again. Here is a place with a Guide to the removal & install of replacing the Potentiometer's. They also sell them very cheap. http://www.thesimshop.com/OAR.html

Re: G25 Pedal issues
I found this very useful thanks JD.
But I did way more dis assembly than I actually needed to in the end.
If you're just wanting to give the pots a clean then all you need to do is remove the top cover which also means removing the pedal plates.
From there you can access the pots with out removing them.
There's an opening underneath the 3 wire connectors which you can just about see in the image below.
