WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
Hey all
I've been thinking for quite some time now about how both the Bathurst Legend mods & how they should have more cars added.
Being most of the modders have all moved on to other games & or disappeared & spread out, we only have the ability to pull cars from other mods & or convert cars from other games, even this is proving to be a job & a half !
I & who is involved can only take credit for converting the cars to this mod, so all credits go to the creators of the cars & the great job they've done on them.
This will a be a mod of its own, but you can look at it as a "add on" to the Bathurst Legends mod, so both the 1969 & 1972 installations will be required before this one.
The "Add on" mod wont interfere with either of the 69 or 72 mods, so they can be loaded back up as normal once this mod has been installed.
Name of the mod: "LEGENDS OF BATHURST"
NOTE*
Make sure you use 7-ZIP to extract these files, otherwise you will get errors.
It will focus mainly on the 70's era & incorporate the 69' cars as well.
Again with cars that out there & are already available.
The list of cars:
Ford Capri V6 GT - Completed - IN GAME
Ford Escort Mk1 - Completed- IN GAME
Ford Escort Mk2 - Completed
Ford Falcon XB coupe - Completed- IN GAME
Fiat 850
Holden HQ Monaro GTS - Completed- IN GAME
Mazda RX-3 - Completed - IN GAME
Mazda RX-7 - Completed - IN GAME
Morris Cooper S - Completed - IN GAME
Morris Mini K - Completed - IN GAME
Renault R8
TOYOTA Celica - Completed
This is just some of the cars we have in mind, if there are cars out there from the era that you would like to see in the game, then let me know.
There are other model cars we have in mind but will need someone that has the know how to make parts for the cars.
If we can get someone then, the Ford XB Coupe can be easily changed to a XA & XC coupe with different parts attached.
Also the LC Torana can be made from the LJ.
TTR-Chrisrx has also been helping with the physics side of things & has already painted a heap of RX-3 skins and stated on the Escort skins.
There will be a heap of skins that need doing, way to many for Chrisrx to do on his own, so if you have the know how and want to help, then please let me know.
As stated above we are also after a modeler that can make edits or even model parts from scratch and get them in the game.
Before this goes ahead & can be released, I need to get permission for most of the cars yet.
If you have any issues with what's happening here, just drop me a line and hopefully we can sort it out.
Drop me a line if your interested in modeling, skinning, physics & testing

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
UPDATE !!
I have marked the Mk1 Escort, XB GT Coupe, RX-3 & HQ GTS Monaro all as "Completed"
Also the mod is now up & running
The cars may yet require some tweaks, but wont really know until we get some testers in the server.
NOTE*
Make sure you use 7-ZIP to extract these files, otherwise you will get errors.
You should be able to see years 1969 to 1979 & also the Showroom
I've put a server up with a password: "ttrtest"
There may be some glitches that we haven't found yet, but I think we've ironed most if not all out.

Hi Addam,
Yeah that's the latest, there's a patch on teamspeak as you already have the main download or you can download the whole mod again which is fully up to date.
So who ever hasn't got it yet only needs the main download.

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
Hi- I have some things that I did for my own purposes - very rough skins - and early work on the IT Charger, IT Falcon, IT Monaro, an IT Kingswood, and the V8XU1. I.m not that good an at doiung skins - but here is what I've done.

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
I did the XU1V8 using an ausmodd xu1 as a base, and I must have got it right - because after I had done it, I came across a bit from Harry Firth on the Supercar controversy where he said the V8 XU1 would do exactly the lap time and top speed my attempt did.

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
I roped in the Coke Mustang and a Camaro from the American Muscle mod and with the other things I put together ran my own personal ATCC. Getting closer to being able to bridge the gap between Ausmodd and TCL seasons now. So keep up the good work.
Pity we can't port the GTL Mazda RX7 (maybe a peripheral port? haha), and the Mercury Cougar and a couple of other useful cars.

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
I don't have any pics of the ATCC races I did - I do have the Championship editor results files. How about I run a short race using all my ATCC runners including the just completed V8XU1 and the PhaseIV which now has the right body thanks to you ? All I need to know is how to successfully post pics here?

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
You use these two:
The left uploads a picture, then you copy the link it gives you, then you paste in the right one in the link section.

That was done prior to today's sorting out of relative performance issues with the newbies since I ran my ATCC races. As you notice - many need skins, and even those that I've skinned could benefit from a better artist. Basemodels from AUSmodd, and Historix, American Muscle, and now LofB

In retrieving these - I found some old screenshots of my very very crude Mazda RX8 skins I used when I did a Grand Am series of races (the Visit Florida Mazdas and the Turner BMW, for whom I could find no skins - I was lucky that there was a Sahlen's skin for another sim that worked with the RX8)

your graphics settings on your pc let those screen shots down. you can boost the up for replays to take screen shots and then turn them down for racing.
