Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
Great news on the RX7! having seen the GTL version - I can't wait. Re the ATCC cars - no, because at that point, ATCC was for Improved Tourers and Bathurst was for production tourers. A Bathurst Falcon would not have had a chance in ATCC. Until 1973 and start of Group C, then ATCC moved to Croup C, and the ITs forced into Sports Sedan category. Prompting retirement of the Moff Mustang and his getting the Monza (which is in GTL) and Cologne Capri (possible to skin a DRM mod Capri?).
If anyone wants to try and do a better job on my ATCC skins - I can send them the dds.

ah - there is a model of the Leyland Force 7 which would make a great What If? car to join the V8XU1 and the GTHO phIV (I can send the V8XU1 and GTHO ph IV to anyone who wants them)

I just got hold of a real XA coupe model last night and have it working in the game
Needs a lot of work but it is working, so that's start.
Also just waiting to hear back from someone, as they may have the XC as well

Actually, some of the ATCC cars did race at Bathurst on Easter - Moff's mustang had a dice with Geoghan from memory

I have been trying to sort out why when running the 1969 cars, the player car doesn't rev high enough down Conrod and I get passed by the same type of car - about 20K down on their top speed. The 72 cars are fine

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
that didn't work - using original xw gear and engine files, player car refuses to rev down Conrod. Same goes for the Monaro. something like pit lane limiter, but you can do 170K

Are you sure the AI isn't driving a XY ?
If your in a XW up against a XY that will do exactly what your saying.
What lap times you getting around Bathurst ?

No - doing a pure 69 race. Just installed rFactor and all the ausmodd and your stuff on it and the requisite tracks. after some jiggery pokery with engine and gears files - and some testing on Nardo - finally got an almost competitive car.

Ill have to jump on and have a race tonight to see what your talking about.
If its doing it for you, then it will be the same for me.
I am going to go over the specs of the XW and Monaro soon.

For sure Fez !
Will be looking at running a series of these early next year, during the week sometime.
Once I have the new cars finished and have also found a few bugs with the current cars. So once all ironed out and the new cars finished, will be good to go.
New cars so far will be:
Toyota Celica
Mazda RX-7
Ford Capri
Ford Escort MK II (Maybe)
Datsun 240K (Maybe)
Chevrolet Camaro (Maybe)
Then once the cars are as good as there going to get, will be looking to move them to RF2.

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
OK - just catching up - been busy changing things and setting them up - I now nort only have the 69 Falcons and Monaros, and the 70 Falcons, but I also added in the Toranas to 1970, and extrapolated the 71 Falcons, Toranas, and Chargers from the 72 cars. Need to do performance adjustments (detune engines etc for earlier years). Of course the 70 & 71 Toranas need skinning as do the 71 Falcons and Chargers. Also need to increase the fuel tank - the XW really had a far larger than 80L tank. Great work on the 79 Mazdas and Capri! can't wait til they're ready!

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
Looking good there! Just finished putting together a 23 car ATCC 65-72 compilation (It includes the GTHO PhIV and V8 Torana XU1). Can't release it as it steps on too many toes and the physics suck (I did my best to reproduce real relativities - but needs a real physics expert. My skins need reworking too by a real artist - but the ones I gleaned from internet are great! I can't do a video because this machine is so low spec - even at min gfx, any recorder slows the screen to snail pace.

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
added a few more to the ATCC cars - 26 now - from escorts to the two Boss Mustangs (Jane's car was a crude rework of the Gurney skin). As far as helping goes my artistic skills aren't up to match and I just tinker with physics - My IT XY GTHO is completely wrong - fast across the top of Mount Panorama - but slow down Conrod. The ATCC pack just needs proper physics and better artist to redo my skins, but it would be a nightmare to get release approvals.

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
The physics on the Legends of Bathurst cars aren't perfect either.
I just try to but get them something near and as competitive to each other as I can.
I wouldn't stress about approvals to much, as long as its for your personal use and maybe friends or whatever, then it will be fine.
I haven't got all the approvals for the cars I've converted, as most I cant get into contact with, so to bad !
If anyone has a problem with what I'm doing, then they can always contact me.
I just make sure that the credits go to the authors and whoever else is involved.
Also I'm a pretty ordinary skinner, so I wouldn't stress to much about doing crap paint jobs.
The more you do them, the more tricks you pick up along the way and the better you get.
You just need to keep at it !
The old cars are the worst as there's very little good pictures out there

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
I know - like for the Robin Pare and Tony Clavert Mustangs - but good thing is in away that most of those cars were one colour with a number and a petrol company sticker. I could zip the ATCC stuff and send to anyone for their interest. it makes the AUSBL a cohesive 69-72 package

I'll get to work on trying to sort out the 70 and 71 Torana performances, and the E38 Chargers then. already have all the team names set up and showroom paint cars as placeholders pending skins

Decided to redo the XY SuperFalcon instead - do it properly this time. Works fine in testing mode - but CTD in race for some reason. If anyone wants to have a look and see if they can see why that is - I have it zipped now - just need a place to upload it

Re: WIP Legends of Bathurst "in development"
MAJOR UPDATE !!
Hey all. just letting you all know that there's a major update for Legends of Bathurst coming tonight and is just in process of uploading so you can all download it.
This will require a fresh install, there is a guide on the first page of this thread on how to do that.
Or...
If you don't want to go through all that again, go into you current LofB install,
Click on the "GameData" folder,
Then click "Vehicles",
Then delete the "LegendsofBathurst" Folder
After that is done you will be right to install the new version of LofB.
The update has got allot of file changes, hopefully that fixes the "server exit bug".
Also 2 new cars have been added
