Don't check the results yet.
There's something not quite right.

Sorry again about the 1st race.
If I'd actually planned that it couldn't have gone any better for me Smile
But honestly it was not planned and I couldn't understand what was up with you guys, I had to try hard to blow my motor up at the end. Very Happy

I sucked bad. No practice at these beasts lately. So yeah. Sucked.

The Bathurst races after the round completed were awesome. I came very close to winning a couple.

I was going to use the BMW 320 for this series, but it has a huge power disadvantage. So i think i will stick with the Porsche.

Good night of racing.

Sorry to hear it Brother Kris.
But yeah it was a real hoot!

I mistakenly had set up the server with mechanical damage on and then proceded to win the 1st race after half the field had gone out in the 1st couple of laps with blown engines, and then I chased down the rest who later developed engine problems or had shunts. lol!
It took me about 30 seconds at least to intentionally blow my engine after the race.

But even in race 2 and 3 I was pretty well on the pace for a change.
In race 3 I ran most of it in the top 5 and was as high as 3rd at one stage I think. But I had a couple of moments near the end and dropped right back.

But everyone seems to agree this mod rocks and we maxed out the 16 slot server.

Post Pukekohe Empty IMPORTANT !!!! PLEASE REGISTER FOR THE SERIES IN SLS

Post by dano 10/12/2011, 8:29 am

Ok folks. I didn't know how to do this either till now when Benny has informed me.

You need to register for the DRM series to get points.

In SLS

Go to "Drivers" > "Edit Data" > "Seasons"

Select DRM out of the dropdown list and click "Save"

If you have any problems send me a PM.

Sorry i didn't make the race last night. As I was going to be absent for most of the series, I decided it was a good time to build me a racing cockpit. check it out https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2518105550085.2141632.1176631515&type=3

That's awesome. Did you weld the tubing yourself or get a shop to do it? Edit - just noticed you work at Racetech Steel, lol.

Looks the business.

Btw, I watch the Targa Tasmania - are you related to Rex Broadbent in his epic 911?

Looks Great Craig I was thinking about building one but pretty happy now with current setup.

Racetech hey shame not Vic we chase chromoly and cage material from time to time as well as 4140 billets but the freight would kill me to get it to melbourne to throw the business your way

Got say this mod is freaken awesome, can't believe i hadn't had a crack with this one earlier

qualified 1st, stoked with that first time on pole

R1 - lead most of the race but stupid me didn't put enough fuel in and ran out with 2 laps to go Mad

R2 - started third and got past stig to take the lead at the hairpin on the first lap. managed to keep racer and wobbly about 5 secs behind for most of the race to take the win

R3 - started pole and had a awesome battle with floydie for about half the race. think floydie had a spin or something cause all of a sudden he was gone. from there on cruised home to take the win Very Happy

can't wait for bathurst but think the capri might struggle down conrod against the porsche's and m1's

Awesome Mod.... top find Dano

I tried desperately in race 1 to keep the engine from dying... and was only a lap and half short! It did smoke for about half the race... Built FORD tough!

Struggled with handling in race 2

Race 3 ... same set up but the car felt really good to drive scratch
Kept out of trouble for most of the race and Webber was kind enough to spin at the hairpin so I could pinch 3rd......

Bring on BATHURST!!!!!!

Cheers guys. Was some hard work. My brother did the welding on it and we kind of designed it as we went. But I'm very happy with how it turned out. Racetech will be it's home for the next three weeks while I'm overseas.

Webber: not related to Rex Broadbent but my family has a lot of history in drag racing.
Kris n Wobbly: now why didn't I think of that Sad
Benny: give me a call next time your in the market for material. In many cases it's cheaper to have it freighted from us than to buy it from a reseller.

And wobbly. I can only dream about having a three monitor setup for the next couple of years i reckon. Besides it gonna be hard enough sneaking this little contraption past the wife

As always beautiful races :-) Thank you for the opportunity to compete. I look forward to Bathurst, but I'm afraid that until there is madness Very Happy But I think that the servers are excellent drivers and the race will again be great. Am with everyone.

In the second race I went with the experimental setup, so I lost on the straights. Overtook me there about eight riders. Next time I will try better. :-)
